Nile Petroleum, in cooperation with universities, pioneered an initiative for sponsoring a number of outstanding students and researchers in certain areas.
The initiative also aims at supporting students and researchers ding post graduate studies in the field of energy. The Company layes great emphasis on employees training and capacity building, programs and courses covering training and management were conducted inside the country and abroad through contracts with leading houses of expertise to ensure the employees are coping with global developments.
The company developed the concept of corporate social responsibility into several areas covering the environment, health, community, sports and education. Through this concept the Company targeting the following:
· Securing a safe, risk-free and base protected environment.
· Enforcing a sound safety and quality management system and applying international safety standards.
· Contributing to the development and welfare of local communities in areas where the company is active as well as those areas linked to the Company as work priorities.
· Increasing added value of human capital and motivating the workers and others dealing with the company, whether clients or importers, to contribute material support, ideas, labor and effort for the development and promotion of local communities.
The Company established up Beit Annil “Nile home” as a part of the Children team of the SOS Organization.
It planted trees in industrial area in Khartoum North to reduce the pollution resulting from industrial and power generating emissions.
It sponsored Alshaheed AlZubair prize for scientific Research.
It provided substantial assistance to the Students Supports Fund as well to civil society organizations and health and education centers. It also contributed in supporting the national Authority for sponsoring the Gifted and its schools.
