NP Occupational health and safety policy

 

Nile Petroleum Company is committed to prevention of accidents to minimize loss of life or bodily injury to its employees and contractor and damage to physical assets. 

 

In fulfilling this commitment, which is as essential and equally important as cost and production objectives, Nile Petroleum Company will provide and maintain a safe and healthful work place and protect the public against foreseeable hazards resulting from its operations by implementing the latest Health & Safety standards, applicable codes and regulations to the design, operation, maintenance and construction of its facilities and/or equipment. Health & Safety goals and objectives will be clearly defined. NP personnel will be held responsible for achieving these goals.

 

NP will adopt quality as a mean to perfection for all its process and operations regarding the Health & Safety management system and ensure that this system is documented, implemented and maintained. NP is committed to provide required logistic supports and required training for its employees to assure continual improvement in all aspects of its fields. Reviews for compliance with this policy will be performed periodically and corrective action and/or modification will be carried out as required.

 

This policy will be communicated to all persons working under the control of the organization in order to be aware of their individual OH&S obligations.

 

We at NP Inculcating QHSE best practices among company’s employees, vendors contractor irrespective of minimum regulatory requirements.

 

Training and awareness

 

Nilepetroleum has identified training needs associated with its OH&S risks and its OH&S management system to ensure that all persons under its control performing tasks that can impact on OH&S are competent on the basis of appropriate education, training or experience and associated records are retained.

 

NP has established, implemented and maintained a procedure to make persons working under its control aware of:

 

a) OH&S consequences, actual or potential, of their work activities, their behavior, and the OH&S benefits of improved personal performance;

 

b) their roles and responsibilities and importance in achieving conformity to the OH&S policy and procedures and to the requirements of the OH&S management system, including emergency preparedness and response requirements

 

c) The potential consequences of departure from specified procedures.
